1-11-07 Headlines

Apple continues to show it's ineptness. Steve Jobs last week unveiled Apple's latest, greatest gadget, the iPhone. But Cisco Systems holds the trademark for iPhone, Jobs was aware of this before the announcement of their phone and is willing to gamble that they will win any trademark cases that Cisco brings to them. I didn't know hiring lawyers and going to court had such profitability and I would think a company would try to avoid those scenarios if possible.

Bonds' test positive for amphetamines. Looks like Bonds uses speed as well as roids to juice himself up to play baseball. And in true Barry Bonds fashion, it wasn't his fault it was someone elses. What is even more sickening that despite all the evidence and circumstances surrounding Barry Bonds, ball-less Bud Selig is still letting this lying, cheating ball player play baseball and will likely break Aaron's home run record because Selig is too spineless to do anything that even resembles justice and fairness for past ball players.

Minimum wage passes the house. The Dems have passed a minimum wage increase through the house and it appears as if it will have few obstacles in the Senate. In one year the wage will be increase to $7.25 an hour, which is about twice as much as the minimum wage when I was young and making 'minimum wage'...ah the memories....

Update:

Beckham coming to America. Americans don't care about soccer but apparently the biggest soccer star in the world will play in the American soccer league. Like every major sport, regardless of popularity in other countries, athletes all know that America is the biggest stage to showcase your talent...even if no one is watching you.
