Chargers Destroy Favre's Jets, Raiders Next

This past Monday Night the San Diego Chargers were able to 'right the ship' and literally destroy the New York Jets.  Brett Favre was throwing interceptions, Cromartie was picking Favre off and running back for touchdowns, there was a pass rush, Phillip Rivers looks like the real deal and with Cris Chambers the Charger offense is looking good.

Antonio Gates is still nursing a sore toe and although LaDainian Tomlinson did score twice on goal line dives, both of these Charger weapons were relatively quiet...although Gates' lone reception was for a touchdown.

This week the Chargers travel to Oakland to take on the Raiders who got killed by the Broncos in week 1, killed the Chiefs in week 2 and lost in the final minutes last week in Buffalo.  Buffalo is looking like a respectable club and to play them tight in their home does say something about this Oakland team...namely that they could be tougher than one thinks.  The Chargers need to remain focused and not take the Raiders lightly or because the Raiders will most certainly be bringing their A game against the Chargers...

But, if the Chargers can get some pressure on Russell and force him into making bad decisions, the Chargers could capitalize.  I think the Charger offense should hopefully continue to click and if the defense can hold when they need to the Chargers should win this game.
