The Chargers thoroughly destroyed the Denver Broncos in Denver this past Sunday. A game the Chargers needed to win to keep hope alive for the season and hopefully use as a springboard to better play for the rest of the season. The Broncos were almost all but out of the game early on. The Charger defense, for the first time this year, looked like it was capable of stopping an opponent. The offense had a good mix of running and passing plays, not allowing the Broncos to merely load the box and blitz full-bore as other teams had been doing. With this win the Chargers at 2-3 are still in the mix for the AFC West, playing the Raiders this weekend the winner will have the early 'inside track' to winning the division. It will be interesting to see if the Charger 'game plan' this weekend resembles what we saw this past game or if this was just a fluke.
As I said to my friends that I was watching the game with, if the Chargers go 2-14 every year I wouldn't really be too sad if the 2 wins were against the Broncos.
