The upper midwest (aka: barren wasteland) is in the midst of a scorching heat wave. Temperatures for the past couple days have been in the 90's with no signs of a cool off anytime soon. A 100 degree day hasn't been logged in 11 years around here but many a forecaster has said that 100 degrees could be possible the next couple days.
The down side to all this is that this region is in desperate need of rain. But the kids on summer break and all the summer related events are loving this beautiful weather.
